When an officer or firefighter is in need, they submit a request through their department’s appointed liaison. Acting as a bridge between the applicant and our Board, these staff members keep the individual’s identity completely confidential.
Every request is carefully reviewed to make sure it meets our guidelines. From there, the Board deliberates and makes a decision quickly, understanding how urgent these situations can be. Throughout the process, the applicant is kept updated every step of the way.
